When you apply, we collect your name, email, organization, professional role, industry, optional LinkedIn URL, reason for joining, application statement and referral source. If you proceed to onboarding, additional professional details and identity verification information may be processed separately through secure methods.
3. Why we use it
We use your information to assess applications, verify professional eligibility, communicate about membership, manage onboarding, protect network integrity and, if you become a member, facilitate consent-based introductions and relevant opportunities.
4. Sharing
Application details are accessible only to authorized reviewers and necessary service providers. We do not publish applicant profiles or share private contact details with other members without appropriate permission. We do not sell member contact lists.
5. Storage and retention
Applications are stored in an access-restricted database. We retain information only as needed for the stated purposes and applicable obligations. A documented retention schedule and deletion workflow must be established before launch.
6. Communications
We may contact you about your application and membership. Optional newsletters and promotional communications should be subject to separate preferences and any legally required consent, with an effective opt-out mechanism.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical controls, including encrypted connections, restricted access and secure handling of verification materials. No system is completely risk-free.
8. Your choices
You can request access, correction, withdrawal where applicable, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@themajlisconnect.com. Requests will be assessed under applicable law.
